This is Trevor’s first book, a major contribution to to the history of northern Nye County. It tells the history of the earliest mining south of Austin, and the emergence of Ione and Grantsville as important mining camps. Ione became the county seat when Nye County was formed. Trevor provides extensive documentation of dates and locations, as there seems to be a lot of misinformation that has been published. Smaller camps in the area are covered, including Berlin, Centrasville and Union.
