Astride Interstate 90, Mineral County hosted numerous little mining camps.  Most were ephemeral, like Louisville, Forest City and Taft; but several were more substantial communities, like Saltese and De Borgia.  The book has numerous early photographs.  Much of this area was burned during the forest fires of August 1910, so little remains of the mining legacy.
